Expect nothing but excellence from Quinta do Pinto family winery, whether it's their renowned reds, such as the brand-name red wine or Vinhas do Lasso red, or their must-try rosé.
António Cardoso Pinto's remarkable efforts at Quinta do Pinto are evident in the exceptional wines he produces, proving that dreams truly shape our destinies.
One of his aspirations as a producer and entrepreneur was to unite his family in crafting their own wine.
Among the array of wines offered by this estate, we do recommend to savor their rosé. Best enjoyed fresh or, even better, served ice-cold – that's the way to indulge in a rosé.
This rosé is crafted from meticulously selected Aragonês and Castelão grape varieties. It boasts a vibrant and daring hue. Its aroma is characterized by hints of strawberry and redcurrant, culminating in a seductive and captivating finish. Its natural acidity and remarkable body mirror the freshness and genuineness of the Lisbon region.
Terroir:
The vineyards thrive on clay-limestone soils dating back to the pre-Jurassic period, featuring a blend of clay and loamy textures. Nestled on gentle slopes with a southern exposure.
Winemaking Process:
Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes underwent immediate destemming to prevent skin maceration. Following a two-day settling period at temperatures below 5°C, fermentation of Aragonês and Castelão grapes occurred at low temperatures in the same vat.
Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Clear with a delicate pink hue – an elegant shade of pink.
Aroma: Youthful and fruity bouquet, offering delightful notes of strawberry and redcurrant.
Palate: Begins with a smooth, fresh, and mineral essence influenced by its Atlantic origins, followed by pronounced strawberry and redcurrant flavors and a lingering finish, rendering it a versatile rosé suited for gastronomic enjoyment.
Grape variaties: Aragonez (50%), Castelão (50%)
Pairing: Ideal for pairing with salads, seafood, white meats, or simply enjoyed as an aperitif.
Recommended serving temperature: 8-10°C
