SOL DELI is the result of many years of sampling Mediterranean cuisine by a group of culinary aficionados.
It was through these travels that we reached the realization that our own countries in Central Europe could also enjoy the benefits of these quality food items. After all, it’s difficult to find exceptional Mediterranean fare from local small producers without paying through the nose.
So with this in mind, we spent our days exploring the countries bordering the bright cerulean sea, with evening full of laughter, overflowing with wine and some of the finest food on the planet. It’s a tough job, but someone had to do it!
How do we do it?
Founded in the late nineteenth century by João Bento de Carvalho, greatgrandfather of the current owners, Casa Agrícola Valbom associates the ancestral knowledge with modern agricultural technologies in organic production.

Monte da Colónia was founded in 1980 in the rich Alentejo lands of Herdade do Monte da Colónia, in Vale de Seda, in the municipality of Fronteira, by the young couple Manuel and Idalina Pereira, who at the time were extremely enterprising.
