Busiata Trapanese a typical pasta of Sicily is brought to you by Antica Bottega Siciliana. 

This unique version of Sicily’s traditional busiata pasta incorporates finely ground pistachios, adding a delicate nutty aroma and subtle flavor to the dough. With its distinctive spiral shape, it’s perfect for capturing rich sauces - especially those with vegetables, fish, or creamy pesto.

The pasta’s naturally porous and slightly rough surface helps it cling beautifully to sauces, making every mouthful full of flavor and texture.

Why is it called busiata? The most accepted theory is that the name comes from busa, a slender stem from the disa plant, which farmers once used to twist and shape the pasta by hand.

This pistachio-infused busiata is made with Sicilian durum wheat flour and carefully blended with ground pistachios, creating a pasta that’s both traditional and innovative.

Drawn through bronze dies and dried slowly at low temperatures, it’s a true expression of Sicilian craftsmanship - bringing a surprising new flavor to a classic pasta shape.
