Sicilian artisanal salted capers by Antica Bottega Siciliana, packed in a vacuum sealed bag.
The caper is grown on two islands off the coast of Sicily, preserved with sea salt (the unopened flower buds).
The flower buds are harvested every 8-10 days from May to September. The capers are hand-picked, washed and finally they are salted and packaged.
Capers pair beautifully with fish and seafood dishes or white meats, or lamb. They can also be used in salads or as garnishes. Capers are popular in Sicilian and Southern Italian dishes like spaghetti alla puttanesca, and caponata, also commonly used in sauces like tartar or rémoulade.
Rinse salt before use.
After opening, keep the product refrigerated.
