Fabada asturiana, commonly referred to as fabada, is a hearty bean stew from Northern Spain. While it originates from the autonomous community of the Principality of Asturias, it is widely enjoyed throughout Spain and in Spanish restaurants around the globe.

The main ingredients of an original fabada are fabes de la Granja (large white beans) that they soak overnight before cooking, lacĂłn (pork shoulder), tocino (bacon), morcilla (Spanish blood sausage), chorizo, olive oil, sweet paprika, garlic and salt.

This fabada from Rosara is made to enjoy the authentic: Asturian beans with Protected Designation of Origin, black pudding and lightly smoked chorizo from Asturias, marinated bacon and a tasty but balanced sauce based on poached vegetables, olive oil and meat stock.

Rosara's stewed pulses have the same quality and guarantee as their natural pulses: tender, with no skin showing and a totally natural flavour.

The tenderness and fineness of Rosara's legumes is reflected in this fabada. The best way to prepare it is to empty the contents into a casserole and heat it over a low heat, although it can also be heated for 2 minutes in the microwave. The flavour of this fabada is authentic due to the Asturian smoked black pudding and chorizo sausage. The bacon is marinated, so its flavour may seem more intense. It is recommended to be served in an earthenware casserole.

Ingredients: Asturian faba bean I.G.P. (60%), meat broth (water, beef, vegetables), smoked blood sausage (5%) (onion, fat, bacon and lean pork, blood, paprika, salt, parsley and tripe), cured bacon (4%) (pork belly, salt and paprika), smoked chorizo (5%) (pork lean and bacon, paprika, salt, garlic and casing),  olive oil, onion, garlic, sherry wine, salt, spices, ascorbic acid
