Savor the unique flavor of Gorreana's premium green tea, produced by the oldest family-owned tea factory in Europe, operating since 1833.
Gorreana’s tea fields are located on São Miguel Island in the Azores, one of Europe’s few tea-growing regions.
The plantation benefits from the island's humid climate, mild temperatures, and mineral-rich volcanic soil, all of which contribute to the production of top-quality green and black teas.
Planted hundreds of kilometers far from any industrial pollution, Gorreana tea is grown in the lush mountains without the use of herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, dyes, or preservatives. It is harvested between April and October, it is 100% organic, ensuring that no chemicals are involved in its cultivation.
The Orange Pekoe black tea is produced exclusively from the plants terminal bud and its first leaf. Its young and delicate leaves are harvested only at the beginning of the harvest season in late March, April and May.
This is the period of the year when the optimal conditions are achieved in terms of humidity and air temperature.
The result is a high quality copper colored Orange Pekoe black tea with a distinct flavour and fruity aroma ideally suited for an afternoon tea.
