This ready-made ragù is produced by the Marcozzi family in the famous pasta prodicing village of Campofilone (Marche region). A traditional tomato sauce with meat that goes back to a recipe handed down from generation to generation by Gabriele Marcozzi's grandmother.
This is a full and rich meat ragù, made following the tradition.
It is based on 73% local tomatoes, harvested fully ripe at the height of the season and preserved with long, gentle cooking, to which minced beef (9.5%), minced pork (9.5%), extra virgin olive oil added, and the perfect soffrito made of carrots, onions and celery. Plus some salt and nothing else, as it needs nothing else to ejnoy a round, full-bodied flavour.
It is a burst of rural authenticity that binds perfectly with the golden Marcozzi egg pasta of Campofilone, bringing out its flavour.
It is a perfect size jar for 250 g of pasta.
