The tradition of making cheese, tapefe and requeijão in the Saianda family has existed for over 100 years, started by the hands of Joaquim António Ramos Saianda who, with the support of his family, continued utilizing the knowledge and the family tradition.
The Branquinho family, being a dairy supplier for over 30 years at this establishment could not let the tradition of the Saianda cheese be lost, so they initiated a project protecting the Saianda cheese, an iconic, traditional product of the Alentejo countryside. Thanks to their efforts, we can continue enjoying the greap cheeses today being born from heritage and excellence.
