The history of Aceitunas Bernal began more than 100 years ago in Spain, in Callosa de Segura, a town in the province of Alicante, which remains one of the most significant regions for olive cultivation and processing to this day.

The business is still family-owned, and the fourth generation continues the knowledge and philosophy laid down by the founders at the beginning of the 20th century.

The story of Bernal is a typical Mediterranean family success story: it grew from a local business with agricultural roots into a company that now operates in a facility of over 20,000 m² and whose products are present worldwide. However, development has never meant abandoning traditions – quite the opposite. The company's philosophy still revolves around quality, consistency, and respect for origin.

Aceitunas Bernal is based on classic Spanish table olive varieties, primarily Manzanilla and Gordal. These varieties are harvested in Andalusia and other regions of Southern Spain, typically between September and October, when the olives are still firm, crunchy, and ideal for processing. Careful selection is key: only olives of the correct size and without blemishes make it into the final products.

Bernal's uniqueness lies in its combination of traditional olive preparation techniques with modern food industry solutions. Over a century of experience is now complemented by state-of-the-art technology, strict quality control systems, and precise traceability, ensuring consistent quality in every single jar.

One of the brand's strongest pillars is the breadth of its selection. Bernal's range includes classic, simple brined olives, various stuffed varieties – such as anchovy, lemon, almond, or even blue cheese – as well as different spiced, marinated specialties, and pickles. This diversity allows the same producer to be present simultaneously in traditional tapas culture and modern, gourmet gastronomy.

Bernal's gourmet line deserves special attention, where classic olives are elevated to a new level with creative fillings and flavorings. These products are no longer just accompaniments but standalone gastronomic experiences – central elements of a well-composed tapas platter or aperitif.
