Magnum Wines

Collection: Magnum Wines

Magnum Wines is a project with its heart in the renowned Dão region — one of Portugal’s most elegant and historic wine territories.

Founded by winemaker Carlos Lucas, Magnum Wines draws its identity from the old Ribeiro Santo vineyards and the storied landscapes between the Mondego and Dão rivers.

This region’s granite soils, moderate climate and altitude produce grapes with refined structure and expressive aromatics — ideal for wines that balance freshness and complexity.

The Magnum portfolio is built on a deep respect for tradition while embracing a modern winemaking ethos. Its founder and team focus on capturing pure fruit expression and precise varietal character from local grapes, often enhanced with careful oak aging when the style demands it.

The name “Magnum” pays homage to both quality ambition and classic presentation.

Although Magnum is not as old as some historic estates, its roots in Ribeira Santo’s traditional vineyards provide an authentic link to Dão’s winemaking heritage.

The region itself — characterized by cooling nights, balanced rainfall and well-drained soils — offers excellent conditions for producing wines of nuance, elegance and aging potential.

Magnum Wines exemplifies Dão’s signature style: structured reds with refined tannins and fragrant, mineral-tinged whites that reflect their granite-rich terroir. Perfect for wine lovers seeking expressive Portuguese wines with both character and finesse.
