This superior olive oil from Casa de Valbom is the product of the Neto family. Their farm is located around Valbom dos Figos village in the Municipality of Mirandela, Trás-Os-Montes region, Northern Portugal.
Their olive groves have been treated according to the requirements of organic farming since the 1990’s, making them the very first officially recognized organic producers in the country.
The olive variaties used in the production of this oil are Verdeal, Madural and Cobrançosa. After the olive harvest, it is immediately transported to their own mill where the extraction of the oil is done at low temperature, giving rise to a high quality olive nectar.
Smooth and lightly fruity, ideal for dipping, drizzling on bread, salads or on new potatoes.
Suggestion: if you buy olive oil in a bigger can, transfer the oil into smaller bottles and use only one bottle at a time - this prevents the oxidation of the oil.
