Pere Ventura Brut Reserva Cava, 2022

The Pere Ventura family cava winery operates in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, the historical heartland of cava. The winery was founded by Pere Ventura in 1991, but the family's connection to Catalan sparkling wine production dates back several generations. The brand represents classic cava elegance, Mediterranean freshness, and modern, precise winemaking. 

Pere Ventura Brut Reserva is a highly drinkable yet elegant representative of the traditional cava style. It is made from Xarel·lo, Parellada, and Macabeu grape varieties, sourced from the lower and middle areas of Penedès. The wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle and then ages on lees for at least 18 months, which gives it finer bubbles and a slight creaminess.

It has a pale yellow appearance with greenish-golden reflections. Its aroma reveals citrus, orange blossom, soft almond, and subtly toasted notes. On the palate, it is fresh, fruity, and balanced, with medium acidity and delicate aging nuances.

It is an excellent choice as an aperitif, but also pairs well with tapas, cold cuts, tempura, quiche, salads, or even lighter savory pastries.
