Birra Raffo was born in 1919 in the city of Taranto, in the Puglia region.
For over a century, it has been an iconic beer of the Southern Italian lifestyle, which locals still proudly consider their own. Although production has been modernized over the years, Raffo has kept its original, light Mediterranean character to this day.
The Raffo Originale is a light lager characterized by freshness and excellent drinkability. Its aroma features delicate malty and grainy notes, its taste is smooth, balanced, and slightly hoppy, with a clean and refreshing finish. It is not about bold bitterness, but rather its light Mediterranean style.
It pairs perfectly with pizzas, focaccia, tarallini, grilled meats, or a rich Italian antipasti platter.
