The Raventós Rosell family Cava winery was founded in 1985 when Joan Raventós Rosell and Maria Carme Vallverdú Ferrer purchased the historic Heretat Vall-Ventós estate near Masquefa, in the Penedès region.
The estate spans 52 hectares, located between the Montserrat mountains and the Garraf Mediterranean coastline, where sea breezes aid the healthy ripening of the grapes.
This batch is Brut Nature Reserva, meaning it's a dry Cava with no added sugar. It is made using the traditional method, with a second fermentation in the bottle, and then aged on its lees for at least 18 months. It contains only 1.4 g/l of residual sugar, which gives it a distinctly dry, clean, and elegant character.
Its color is light yellow, with golden reflections. The aroma features white-fleshed fruits, delicate pastry, and nutty notes, derived from bottle aging. Its bubbles are fine, creamy, and well-integrated, its acidity is fresh, and the finish is long and fruity. It is an excellent aperitif, but also pairs wonderfully with seafood, tapas, fresh cheeses, hams, fish, or even light salads.
Grape varieties: 40% Xarel·lo, 30% Macabeo, 30% Parellada
