Solo Syrah Tirio, Bodegas Aragonesas, red, 2024

Bodegas Aragonesas is one of the most well-known wineries in Aragon, producing wines since 1984 in the Campo de Borja protected designation of origin region.

Situated at the foot of Mount Moncayo, the vineyards are characterized by a dry, sunny climate, cool nights, and stony-limestone soil, which provide excellent concentration and elegance to the grapes. The winery is primarily famous for its Garnacha, but its wines made from international varieties also represent outstanding quality.

The Solo Syrah Tirio 2024 is made from 100% Syrah grapes. The goal of the wine is not to create an excessive, barrel-driven style, but to showcase the fruity, spicy character of the variety. The result is a modern, vibrant red wine that is both intense and easy-drinking.

On the nose, it features blackcurrant, blackberry, and blueberry alongside black pepper, violet flowers, and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is characterized by silky tannins, lively fruitiness, and a pleasantly long, slightly spicy finish. The peppery character typical of Syrah beautifully complements the ripe fruit.

A great choice to pair with grilled meats, barbecue, spicy sausages, and aged sheep cheeses. From the Sol Deli selection, it forms an excellent pair with San Simón da Costa, Idiazabal, as well as with Brisa chorizo or El Valle aged cheese crisps.
