The Monte da Colónia olive grove has different olive varieties, namely 50% Cobrançosa, 40% Galega and 10% other varieties. Besides making olive oil, these olives are also used to make canned olives, prepared in the traditional way and sold in various packages from 250 g to 5 kg.
The success in the viticulture activity was undoubtedly one of the best rewards the family received for having risked, invested and believed in the entire process of growth and business innovation over the last 20 years. Currently, with all the necessary equipment, they are able to follow the entire process of creation and growth of each of their wines, always striving for quality that imperatively results in nectars with a very strong character and personality.
Of the 20 hectares occupied by the vineyards of the varieties – Aragonez, Cabernet Sauvignon, Arinto, Alicante Bouschet, Castelão, Syrah, Trincadeira, Verdelho and Touriga Nacional; an average of 100 thousand liters of Red Wine are produced, divided into several references – Entry range, Selected Colheira, Syrah Monovariety, Touriga Nacional, Escolha and Reserva.
10 thousand liters of White Wine with the varieties – Arinto, Roupeiro, among others; 6 thousand liters of Rosé Wine with the variety – Touriga Nacional; and still Sparkling Brut which, combined with the soil, the climate, the union and dedication of the family, its employees and the knowledge of the winemaker Rui Vieira, guarantee the fullness of Monte da Colónia wines.
