Quinta do Gradil, IGP Lisboa, Red, 2023

Quinta do Gradil Tinto is a distinctive Portuguese red wine from the Lisbon wine region, showcasing the area's Atlantic-influenced climate and modern winemaking style. The wine is made from a blend of two characteristic grape varieties (50-50%): the elegance and aromatics of the Portuguese Touriga Nacional meet the deep color and firm tannin structure of the Tannat variety.

The grapes are hand-harvested from the estate's best parcels and carefully selected. The destemmed grapes ferment in small stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, with a short cold maceration to help extract fruit aromas. After malolactic fermentation, the wine rests in the bottle for a short period, allowing it to become more harmonious and balanced.

The aroma features wild berries with subtle balsamic and tobacco notes. The taste is full-bodied, rich, yet elegantly structured, with beautifully integrated tannins and a long finish.

An excellent choice with grilled meats, roasted beef, barbecue dishes, or strong cheeses.
